Training For HYROX?

If your current training is focused mainly on conditioning or race simulations, you might be missing the one thing that truly determines performance on race day: strength. As an official HYROX Training Club and HYROX affiliated gym, we’re launching dedicated weekly HYROX Strength & Conditioning classes, designed to help our members build the muscular endurance, full body strength, and race specific technique required to perform, not just survive, on race day.

URSUS owner, Santina Philips, competing at HYROX Taipei.

Why Strength Training Matters for HYROX

From sled pushes and pulls to wall balls, lunges, and carries, every station rewards athletes who have built:

  • Muscular endurance to sustain output across all stations

  • Strength under fatigue to maintain pace late in the race

  • Efficient movement technique to avoid wasted energy

  • Durability and resilience to reduce injury risk

Many athletes preparing for HYROX races rely heavily on race simulations. Whilst simulations are important, repeating them without structured strength progression can lead to plateaus.

HYROX isn’t just a running event. It’s a test of total body strength under fatigue.

HYROX Strength & Conditioning Classes at URSUS

To complement our popular HYROX Engine classes that focus on conditioning and aerobic capacity, we now have HYROX Strength & Conditioning sessions!

These full body sessions are designed to:

  • Build progressive strength leading up to HYROX HK

  • Improve muscular endurance for race stations

  • Develop race-specific lifting technique

  • Increase power and efficiency

  • Support structured progression toward competition

Instead of simply repeating race simulations, we focus on building you up to the race. New to HYROX? We’ll teach you proper movement patterns and pacing strategies. Experienced competitor? We’ll help you refine technique and build the strength needed to improve your time.

You can be sure that every session is coached and designed to meet you where you are.

Coach Bam and Coach Denham are both competing in HYROX Hong Kong this year!

Ready to Start Your HYROX Training?

If you’re looking for structured HYROX training, supportive coaching, and progressive programming, we’d love to help you prepare.

Join our HYROX classes every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. HYROX S & C classes are starting Thursday 26th February at 5:30pm.

Build strength, improve endurance and race stronger with URSUS.
