WHAT IS OLYMPIC WEIGHTLIFTING?

One of the oldest forms of weight training & known for its complex moves, Olympic Weightlifting involves the use of 2 highly functional lifts. The lifts are performed with minimal equipment using a barbell & weight plates.

THE ATHLETE LIFTS A LOADED BARBELL FROM THE FLOOR IN ONE QUICK & SMOOTH MOTION WHILST MAINTAINING A WIDE GRIP.

A 2-PART LIFT WHERE THE ATHLETE RAISES A LOADED BARBELL TO THE CHEST THEN FINISHES WITH AN OVERHEAD PRESS & SPLIT SQUAT AT THE END
